iono Documentation - Products

The products section of the admin panellists all the products in the system categorised by the group they belong to. You can see the name and description of the product along with the the number of product licenses and active licenses. Clicking on Manage will take you to the management screen for that product which lists all the licenses, extras, versions and downloads.

Licenses and extras are purchased by customers to give them access to versions of the product. Downloads are linked to a version, license and/or extra to allow you to specify which downloads a customer who has a particular license or extra gets access to. When in the manage section the sub menu will expand to allow you to add more features to the product.

Adding

To add a product click the Add Product link from the sub menu in the Products section of the ACP. You will then be asked to enter in basic details about a product.

A hidden product cannot be seen on the order page by default and is only available if you know the actual product ID to access it. If a product is hidden you would access it by going to http://www.example.com/iono/order.php?cmd=step-2&product_id=3 where you replace the 3 at the end with the actual ID of the product and http://www.example.com/iono with the URL to your iono installation.

Admin ordering only means that the product, whilst it does exist in the system, cannot be ordered using the order system. Therefore the only way to obtain a license and/or extra for the product is if the administrator manually adds one to a customer's account.
