iono Documentation - Upgrading your license type

iono is sold under several different licenses, each of which have different restrictions imposed upon them. If you upgrade your license by purchasing a better one - be it from a free license to a paid license or from one paid license to another, you can quickly and easily upgrade your copy of iono without having to reinstall or lose any data of modifications you have made.

Upgrade steps

  1. Log into the Olate Customer System and find your new license. View the license and copy the new license key string to your clipboard.
  2. FTP/SSH to where your copy of iono is installed and download/edit the includes/config.php file.
  3. On line 11 you will see a variable containing your old license key string contained within a pair of apostrophes. Paste your new license key string in over the old one ensuring that the pair of apostrophes remain.
  4. Save and upload the changed file overwriting your existing file at includes/config.php.
  5. Delete the key.php file from your iono root directory and refresh the admin control panel.

Your copy of iono is now upgraded.
