iono Documentation - Google Checkout

About

Every online merchant has two goals: sell more and spend less. Google Checkout is a new way to process transactions that helps you achieve both. Customers who use Checkout can buy from you quickly and securely, using a single username and password - and you can use Checkout to process their orders and charge their credit or debit cards. Visit the Google Checkout website for more information.

Features

The following features are supported by the gateway and can be handled by iono. In the case of refunds and fee calculations, the details will be logged by iono with the transaction.

Method

The customer clicks the pay button and is taken to the Google website. If the customer has an account, they log in with their Google Account details and complete payment, otherwise they will be requested to register. Orders must be approved through the Google Checkout interface and then manually approved in iono.

Setup

  1. From the Gateways section of the Settings section of the admin control panel, click on Edit next to the Google Checkout entry.
  2. You can leave all the values as default except the following:
    1. Status: Change to Active
    2. Seller ID: Enter your Google Merchant ID. This can be found top right when you log into Google Checkout
